The next business we want to introduce you to is Green Flamingo Homes!

Green Flamingo Homes is a quality serviced accommodation provider for short-term, family-friendly stays to cater for traveling corporate clients and contractors. With properties in both the UK and Spain, Green Flamingo Homes creates that home away from home experience while working.

Green Flamingo Homes is the creation of dynamic Director Vikki Lindop. With 20 years’ business experience, Vikki built and owned a multi-million pound Architectural Aluminium Manufacturing company, which was acquired in June 2020 by one of the global market leaders in the Façade and Security Industry. She remained with the company until April 2023, before deciding to step away from that profession and focus on a new and exciting property journey.

Vikki’s new venture has been concentrating on building a property portfolio across Staffordshire and Fuerteventura, providing quality Service Accommodation to the leisure, tourism and healthcare sectors. She is also the co-host of a property networking event in Leamington Spa, “PPN Leamington Spa”, working to support people on their property journey and also offering guidance and support around business operations.

Here Vikki shares her valuable advice for starting a business:

What piece of advice would you give to your younger self?  

Take the time to invest in your own knowledge – get a mentor to support your professional journey to ensure you stay accountable for your own professional, personal and financial goals.  

What is one tip for people starting their own business?

Don’t let doubt set in – only you can make your business a success, so where possible learn from other people's mistakes. Ensure that you surround yourself with people with similar mindsets; remove the negheads and naysayers from your circle.

If you could be immortal, what age would you choose to stop aging at and why?

This would have to be 40.

Why? I don’t believe in your 20’s or 30’s that you fully have gained the professional or personal knowledge or experience on how to deal with issues that life throws at you.
