Merrisha Gordon is an accredited Leadership Coach, Trainer and Organisational Consultant, and her business supports organisations with retention and development of their staff. 90% of her work is within the public sector, delivering individual and group coaching and workshops to equip staff with the tools to have a successful career in the health service and feel happier in their roles.

The company is made up of passionate and experienced professionals who are dedicated in helping people to achieve their full potential. Merrisha believes in a holistic approach to coaching and consulting, considering your unique needs as a client, your organisational and personal values, and your goals.

Company Director Merrisha Gordon is a trained and accredited coach with over 10 years’ experience, with knowledge and expertise of 20+ years’ in Senior NHS Leadership acquired from mental health, acute and community settings.

Here she shares her insightful business advice:

What piece of advice would you give to your younger self?  

My younger self was incredibly lost, very focussed on qualifications, job titles and salary as a way of feeling validated. I would certainly tell my younger self you are more than enough as you are. And I would also remind her that her now is not her forever.

What is one tip for people starting their own business?

Follow your passion. It is important that you have love for the work you are doing, otherwise you will resent the time, energy and finances you will need to invest. Logic is important, but stay true to what lights you up. So get out of your head, listen to your heart and trust your gut!

If you could be immortal, what age would you choose to stop aging at and why?

I'm not sure I would. There are many benefits of living forever, such as not having to leave loved ones before you're ready. However, what I know for sure is that I have learnt so many lessons with each new decade that are preparing me for the next chapter, and for that I wouldn't change a thing.
